Harry’s Rainbow provides safety and comfort, tools and resources to promote positive coping strategies, to both children, your people and their families.
Harry’s Rainbow is committed to supporting bereaved children and their families in the Milton Keynes and surrounding areas. “We know how difficult it can be to help and support your children through their pain, grief and loss at the same time as trying to deal with your own. Therefore we aim to support the children affected by the death of a very significant family member, such as a parent or sibling.”“The services we offer are wide ranging to ensure we can help all children and young people.
We facilitate connection with other children and young people in similar circumstances, to help relieve isolation and loneliness but also promote healthy living and wellbeing. Everything we do is age appropriate, and our Family Liaison Officers work to ensure all age groups are catered for. This support includes but is not limited to:
- Rainbow Groups (split into key-stage groups)
- Resources, books, memory boxes
- Trips and activities
- Therapeutic Mentoring
- Short breaks at our Rainbow Retreat
- Podcast
- School support
- Children’s Grief Awareness Week”
WE RAISED £447.88 FOR CHARITY
This year we took part in the Franklins Solicitors #Franklins50 challenge for Harry’s Rainbow, aiming to raise as much money as possible to support the cost of a bereaved child for a whole year. We donated ALL PROFITS from the sales of our Rainbow Cake Boxes as well as hosting a charity raffle prize draw worth over £160.
